- The parish was in the Billesdon subdistrict of the Billesdon Registration District.

- Civil Registration began in July, 1837.
- The parish was in the Billesdon subdistrict of the Billesdon Registration District.
Marefield was a village and a township in Tilton parish. It is 12 miles east of Leicester city and 1 mile from Tilton. The parish covers 520 acres.
