It was founded in 1832 and closed in 1966.
his church was damaged in the WWII blitz and, despite restoration work, it was demolished in 1959. However, services for the parish continued in the church hall until the late 1960s. It is also known as St John & St Thomas - the two parishes merged in the 1930s.
