It was founded in 1931. The pictured church was built in 1956. The final service was on 11th November 2017.

Fr. John O'Dwyer began the new parish here in 1931 and laboured to establish the infant parish for six years. He was succeeded by Fr. Cornelius Sheahan, who is still in charge.
