It was founded in 1776 and closed in 1967.
The first church fell down in 1778.
The second church was built in the 1780s. It suffered a landslip in 1882, due to excavations and blastings for a railway tunnel nearby. Declared unsafe and closed. Demolished.
The third and final church was built in 1888.
