It was founded in 1896 and closed in 2006.
Founded in 1896 from St. Brigid's, the mission was for a short time entrusted to the care of Fr. M. Eyck, who was followed by Fr. M. McGrath. Fr. McGrath set the mission on its feet before leaving Manchester. The mission saw many changes of Rector-Fr. Godric Kean, Fr. De Pauw, Fr. Osmund Woods. Fr. George Cobb served here for several years, leaving for Little Hulton in 1917. Fr. Andrew Ivory and Fr. C. Wierz were appointed for a time. In recent years the priests best remembered in the parish are Fr. V. O'Shaughnessey and Fr. C. O'Mahoney.Taken from "Salford Diocese and its Catholic past", a survey by Charles A. Bolton, a Priest of the above Diocese. Published 1950 on the First Centenary for the Diocese of Salford
