It was founded in 1866. It closed in 1959.
Barmouth Street Methodist chapel, Barmouth St., Lower Openshaw, Manchester, closed in 1959 due to the building needing many repairs and a very small congregation. Most of the members including the sunday school amalgamated with Wellington Street, Methodist chapel, Wellington St., Bradford
In 1932 the United Methodists joined with the Wesleyan Methodists and the Primitive Methodists to form the Methodist Church of Great Britain.
