This church, originally called Calvary Full Gospel Mission, was opened about 1954. It was built by the pastor, Trevor Rees Williams, a Welshman, with much help from various members of the congregation, such as Stanley Adams. The pastor had a full time job and 2 sons and 2 daughters. His wife was in a TB sanitorium until about 1955. The younger daughter was cared for by another person until her mother came home. They lived in Moston, but bought a house on Hill Lane, Hr. Blackley about 1957.
Both Trevor and his wife, Dorothy, are deceased.
