The chapel on Hyndburn Rd had a graveyard. The churches on Blackburn Rd and Cannon St did not have one.

It was founded in 1785 as the Machpelah (Lower Chapel) on Hyndburn Rd, formerly Allom Lane and that closed in 1836 when they moved to Blackburn Rd next to the railway viaduct. This closed in 1874 when they built a new church on Cannon St which opened in March 1874 at a cost of £12,000. This closed in 2006 when they moved into Christ Church sharing the building now known as Trinity Community Church
