"BUCKLAND, a parish in the hundred of Faversham, lathe of Scray, in the county of Kent, 3 miles to the N.W. of Faversham. It lies near the London, Chatham, and Dover railway. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Canterbury, value £167, in the gift of Sir J. T. Tyrell, Bart. The church, long decayed, was dedicated to St. Nicholas."
