"BICKNOR, a parish in the hundred of Eyhorne, lathe of Aylesford, in the county of Kent, 6 miles to the E. of Maidstone, its post town. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Canterbury, value £116, in the patronage of the lord chancellor. The church is dedicated to St. James."
