"BROBURY, a parish in the hundred of Grimsworth, in the county of Hereford, 10 miles to the W. of Hereford. It is situated in a hilly district on the banks of the river Wye, abounding in striking scenery. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Hereford, value £180, in the patronage of the Rev. N. H. D. Newton, incumbent. The church is dedicated to St. Mary. There are some charities of small value."
