- "FRAMILODE, a village and chapelry in the parish of Saul, hundred of Berkeley, county Gloucester, 6 miles N.E. of Stonehouse, its post town, and nearest railway station on the Great Western line. The Stroudwater canal and the rivers Severn and Frome intersect the chapelry The living is a perpetual curacy* in the diocese of Gloucester and Bristol, value £48, in the patronage of the bishop. The church is a modern stone structure, dedicated to St. Peter. There is a National school for boys and girls. The Rev. J. Cooper is lord of the manor."
