"ULTING, a parish in the hundred of WITHAM, county of ESSEX, 4½ miles (S. S. W.) from Witham, containing 175 inhabitants. The living is a discharged vicarage, in the archdeaconry of Colchester, and diocese of London, rated in the king's books at £7. 4. 2., endowed with £600 private benefaction, and £600 royal bounty, and in the patronage of R. Nicholson, Esq. The church is dedicated to All Saints. The parish is bounded on the south by the Chelmer and Blackwater navigation."
