"FAMBRIDGE (NORTH), a parish in the hundred
of DENGIE, county of ESSEX, 5 miles (N. N. W.) from
Rochford, containing 147 inhabitants. The living is a
discharged rectory, in the archdeaconry of Essex, and
diocese-of London, rated in the king's books at £4. 13. 4.,
and in the patronage of the Crown. The church is
dedicated to the Holy Trinity. North and South Fambridge
are separated by the river Crouch, over which
