"TEY (MARKS), a parish in the Witham division of the hundred of LEXDEN, county of ESSEX, 4 miles (E. by N.) from Great Coggeshall, containing 351 inhabitants. The living is a vicarage not in charge, in the archdeaconry of Colchester, and diocese of London, and in the patronage of the Master and Fellows of Balliol College, Oxford.
