“CLACTON (LITTLE), a parish in the hundred of
TENDRING, county of ESSEX, 12 ½ miles (E. S. E.) from
Colchester, containing 494 inhabitants. The living is a
discharged vicarage, in the archdeaconry of Colchester,
and diocese of London, rated in the king's books at
£6. 13. 4., and in the patronage of F. Nassau, Esq. A
fair for toys is held on the 25th of July.”
