"DODDINGHURST, a parish in the hundred of BARSTABLE, county of ESSEX, 3½ miles (N.) from Brentwood, containing 356 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Exeter, rated in the king's books at £10. 3. 9. Jarvis Kenrick, Esq. was patron in 1813. The church is dedicated to All Saints."
