The church, dedicated to St. Mary, has recently been restored, and at the W. end of the N. aisle is a space partitioned off, in which the royal peculiar court of Sturminster-Marshall is held. In addition to the parish church are the district churches of Lytchett Minster, Hamworthy, and Corfe Mullen, the livings of which are perpetual curacies and a vicarage, varying in value from £386 to £295.
