Transcribers Notes:
A ‘Terrier’ is a survey of land, and the ‘Glebe’ is the property owned by a Parish Church.
Therefore a ‘Glebe Terrier’ is a survey of Church land and property.
Philip Shapton was vicar from 1583 to 1606.

The Benefice of Northam is in this order following:
I Phillip Shapton vicar of Northam aforesaid, do enioye and have in my hand the vicaredge
House, garden and orchard, w[i]th two acres of land lying betwyne the church and the vicaredge house, wherein there standeth fouer dwelling houses and gardens,
wherefrome I receive yearlye or by the year X£ [£10] from the deane and canons of Wynsore, paying out thereof fo[u]r tenths subsydyes and parchons(?) iiii£ [£4].
This is all that I do enioy in Northam yearlye.
