The Committee’s Report was read at its July 24th, 1917, Barnstaple meeting. The Committee’s purpose was to note and record the current and past use of any Verbal Provincialisms in Devonshire, in either written or spoken language, that were not included in the lists published in the Association’s Transactions. Mr. C. H. Laycock and Rev. O. J. Reichel were appointed Joint Secretaries of the Committee. This Report, from a copy of a rare and much sought-after journal can be downloaded from the Internet Archive. Google has sponsored the digitisation of books from several libraries. These books, on which copyright has expired are available for free educational and research use, both as individual books and as full collections to aid researchers.
