The Committee’s Report was read at the Association’s July 1897 Kingsbridge meeting. The Members’ purpose was to note and record current and past use of any Verbal Provincialisms in Devonshire, in either written or spoken language, that had not been included in the lists published in the Association’s Transactions. At this meeting the Secretary announced that the first section of Wright’s English Dialect Dictionary had been completed. The present Report, from a copy of a rare journal can be downloaded from the Internet Archive. Google has sponsored the digitization of books from several libraries.
