BUCKLAND-FILLEIGH, a parish in the hundred of SHEBBEAR, county of DEVON, 6½ miles (N. W. by W.) from Hatherleigh, containing 274 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, with that of East Buckland consolidated, in the archdeaconry of Barnstaple, and diocese of Exeter, rated in the king's books at £11. 16. 0½., and in the patronage of the Bishop of Exeter. The church is dedicated to St. Mary.
