This paper was presented at the Association’s Tiverton meeting, July 1891. Following delivery of his paper ‘A Plea for a Devonshire Bibliography” at the Association’s 1882 Crediton Conference, Mr William Henry K. Wright continues in this paper, with an erudite attempt at laying the foundation for a Devonshire Bibliography. The paper is a retrospective on what had been accomplished before and up to 1891. Its goal was to collect and organise a comprehensive collection of materials focussing on “Devonshire and Devonshire men”. The author concludes by proposing that the Association set up a committee to prepare a Bibliography of Devon, modelled on the Bibliotheca Cornubiensis. The article, from a copy of a rare and much sought-after journal can be downloaded from the Internet Archive. Google has sponsored the digitisation of books from several libraries. These books, on which copyright has expired, are available for free educational and research use, both as individual books and as full collections to aid researchers.
