"WETTENHALL, a chapelry in the parish of OVER, first division of the hundred of EDDISBURY, county palatine of CHESTER, 5½ miles (E. by S.) from Tarporley; containing 297 inhabitants. The living is a perpetual curacy, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Chester, endowed with £200 private benefaction, and £800 royal bounty, and in the patronage of the Vicar of Over."
