- Weston was a township in Runcorn ancient parish, Bucklow hundred (SJ 5180), which became a civil parish in 1866.
- The civil parish was abolished in 1936 to become part of Runcorn.
- It included the hamlet of Weston Point.
- The population was 162 in 1801, 933 in 1851, and 2115 in 1901.
