- Poulton cum Seacombe was a township in Wallasey ancient parish, Wirral hundred (SJ 3091), which became a civil parish in 1866.
- The civil parish was abolished in 1912 to become part of Wallasey.
- Included the hamlets of Poulton Lancelyn, Seacombe and Somerville.
- The population was 178 in 1801, 3044 in 1851, and 20749 in 1901.
