- Knutsford Over (or Knutsford Superior) was a township in Knutsford ancient parish, Macclesfield hundred (SJ 7578), which became a civil parish in 1866.
- It includes the hamlets of Cross Town, Manor Park and Shaw Heath.
- The population was 320 in 1801, 208 in 1851, and 480 in 1901.
