Church History
An ancient parish, originally serving the townships of Alpraham, Beeston, Bunbury, Burwardsley, Calveley, Haughton, Peckforton, Ridley, Spurstow, Tilstone Fearnall, Tiverton and Wardle. It included Calveley: Chapel.
The district was affected by the following boundary changes:
- 1767 — reduced when the township of Burwardsley was transferred to Burwardsley: St. John.
- 1836 — reduced when the townships of Alpraham, Tilstone Fearnall and Tiverton were transferred to Tilstone Fearnall: St. Jude.
