"PECKFORTON, a township in that part of the parish of BUNBURY which is in the first division of the hundred of EDDISBURY, county palatine of CHESTER, 4½ miles (S. S.W.) from Tarporley, containing 294 inhabitants. Horseley bath, a mineral spring formerly in considerable esteem, is in this township. A school is supported by small annual subscriptions."
