Killan Church is in a circular graveyard on a rise which must have been almost an island among marshes. The gable-walls are fairly complete, the side-walls have fallen. The internal dimensions are 70 x 20 ft. A large gap in the east wall marks the site of a window. In the west wall is a small rectangular gable-window. The west end is filled with a large barrel vault of the Cosby family, which must have been constructed when the church was in use, the west wall being perhaps re-built. There would have been room for a gallery 18 ft. wide above it.
