The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868
In 1868, the parish of Verwick contained the following places:
"VERWICK, a parish in the hundred of Troedyraur, county Cardigan, 2 miles N. of Cardigan, its post town. It is situated near the month of the river Teifi. The Flemings were once routed here by the Welsh. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of St. David, value £80. The church is dedicated to St. Pedrog."
